Who your agreement is with
What the service is for
Kervence gives you data-driven research suggestions and tools to support your own judgment. The service does not place trades for you and does not guarantee any return.
Not investment advice
Research, analyses, portfolio views and any personalized assessments are not advice from a licensed advisor. You are responsible for your own decisions, for checking sources and for the risks you take.
Data
Data may be incomplete, delayed or wrong. Kervence will show you when data is uncertain or unavailable, but no technical system can guarantee that it is error-free or always available.
AI-generated content
Reports, analyses, summaries and chat answers are produced by language models, not written by a person. They may contain errors, outdated information and claims that don’t match the source. Before you rely on anything important to you, check it against the source we cite.
Your account
You must keep your sign-in details safe and use only your own account. You may not misuse the service, try to get around access controls or upload harmful content.
To create an account and enter into an agreement with us, you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts. The service is not meant for minors.
Plans and prices
Kervence has three plans: Start, Plus and Pro. You can pay by the month or for a year at a time. Prices are in US dollars and listed on our pricing page, and you always see the exact price before you pay. The annual price equals ten months, so you get two months free. We sell the service only to customers in Norway and the United States. You pay by card through our payment provider, Stripe.
Monthly or annual
The monthly subscription has no minimum term. You pay one month at a time in advance, on the same day of the month you started, and it renews every month until you cancel. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the month you have paid for. We don’t refund the rest of a month once it has started.
You pay for the annual subscription twelve months in advance, on the same date you started. It renews for another year on that same date unless you cancel. The annual subscription has no minimum term either, so you can cancel at any time. Your subscription then ends at the end of the current subscription month, and we refund each full month left, with no fee, within 14 days of your subscription ending. Each remaining month counts as one twelfth of the annual price. For example, if you cancel Plus halfway through the fifth month, you keep access until the end of the fifth month and get back seven twelfths of the annual Plus price.
If you start on a date that some months don’t have, such as the 31st, you pay on the last day of the shorter months.
Renewal and cancellation
You cancel yourself with the Cancel button under Subscription and tokens on your profile page. It’s as easy as signing up: one click and one confirmation, and you don’t need to write to us. Before you confirm, you see when your subscription ends and what you get back. Until it ends, you can undo the cancellation in the same place. We confirm by email both when you cancel and when you undo it. At least every six months, we will email you to remind you that your subscription is active and explain how to cancel it. If you have an annual subscription, we will also email you at least 30 days before it renews, with the price for the next year. If we change the price, we will tell you well in advance, and you can cancel before the new price takes effect. The price you have already paid won’t change.
Right of withdrawal
You can withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of buying a subscription, whether monthly or annual. When you buy, you ask us to start the service right away so you get access immediately. If you withdraw, you pay only for the days you had access, and we refund the rest no later than 14 days after you tell us. To withdraw, use the Withdraw button under Subscription and tokens on your profile page before the deadline. It shows what you’ll get back before you confirm, and your access stops right away. You don’t have to give a reason. If you can’t log in, let us know through support.
Tokens
Each plan comes with a fixed number of tokens per week: 69,000 in Start, 173,000 in Plus and 462,000 in Pro, or roughly 300,000, 750,000 and 2,000,000 per month. Your week starts on the day and at the time your subscription started, not on Monday, and your tokens are refilled at that same time every week, including on an annual subscription. Weekly tokens you don’t use don’t roll over to the next week, and you can’t get a refund for them.
Token packs
You can buy extra tokens at any time in packs of 125,000 or 625,000 tokens. You see the price in US dollars before you pay. We use purchased tokens only after your weekly tokens run out, and they never expire. You need an active subscription to buy and use them.
Purchased tokens aren’t refundable, including when you cancel your subscription or withdraw from it. Tokens from a pack that you haven’t used when your week refills carry over. This applies only to purchased tokens, not your weekly tokens. If you cancel, your unused tokens stay on your account, and you can use them again if you start a new subscription.
Rights to reports, our database and your data
You get a personal, non-exclusive right to use reports and analyses from Kervence for your own purposes. You may not resell them, publish them systematically or offer them to others as a service. You may not extract or reuse substantial parts of Kervence’s database, including prices, sources, classifications and analyses. The same goes for repeatedly extracting smaller parts that together add up to a substantial part. The Kervence name and brand features belong to us.
The main body of a company report is the same for every customer who requests it in the same period, and we reuse it across customers. In other words, you won’t get a text written only for you.
Your own data, meaning your portfolio, the companies you follow and anything you enter yourself, belongs to you. We use it only to provide the service to you, as described in our privacy policy.
Changes to these terms and the service
We may change the terms, prices, features or data sources when we have a valid reason, such as changes in law or regulations, a data source or subcontractor becoming unavailable or changing its terms, security or operational needs, or changes in our costs. We can’t change the agreement arbitrarily, and no change applies retroactively to what you have already paid for.
We will notify you of changes by email a reasonable time before they take effect. If a change is to your disadvantage, for example if we substantially cut back what the service includes or raise the price, you can cancel free of charge before the change takes effect, and we will refund your payment for the time after your subscription ends, in proportion. Price changes are also covered by the section on renewal and cancellation.
Complaints, liability and disputes
If the service doesn’t work as agreed, contact us through support and describe the problem. We will reply as quickly as we can and either fix the problem or offer a price reduction or cancellation of the contract, as consumer law provides. You should complain within a reasonable time after you notice the problem.
We are liable under general legal rules for losses you suffer because of errors or defects in the service. We are not liable for losses from investment decisions you make yourself, because the service is research to support your own judgment and not investment advice. We are also not liable for errors in data we get from third parties, beyond what we could have caught ourselves. Nothing in these terms limits any liability we can’t exclude under consumer protection law that applies to you.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and applicable US federal law. If something goes wrong, please contact us through support first. Most problems can be fixed that way. If we can’t resolve a dispute together, either of us can bring it before the state or federal courts located in Delaware. This doesn’t take away any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the state where you live.
